Boys & Girls Club and Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill invite community to FREE Thanksgiving Eve Dinner

10th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving continues Wednesday, Nov. 27, 4-7 p.m. at Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill are excited to embark on the 10th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Club’s Donald W. Reynolds Facility on East Ninth Street in Reno. All members of the community are invited to enjoy the feast and festivities this Thanksgiving Eve including free flu shots to those who qualify, administered by CMDA (Christian Medical and Dental Association) of the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

“Thanksgiving is a time to gather with friends, old and new alike and through the Community Dinner we are able to help bring people together with a great meal, who otherwise might not have that opportunity,”” said Jody Clark, Chief of Operations at Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill. “This marks our 10th year of providing this free meal and this tradition is very important to everyone at Bully’s and we are proud to serve our community.”

Together, the Boys & Girls Club and Bully’s anticipate serving nearly 1,500 members of the community Nov. 27, bringing the total number of people served in the event’s history to almost 10,000. During that annual event, the community is invited to feast over hot turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and all the other fixings while enjoying the merriment of family and friends in a location famous for the helping hands that reach more than 11,000 children in the Club’s 20 northern Nevada locations each year.

Boys & Girls Club and Bully’s Celebrate 10th Annual Community Thanksgiving

Free Thanksgiving eve dinner, Nov. 27

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows invites the community to its annual pre-Thanksgiving celebration with Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Facility on East Ninth Street in Reno.

The Bully’s Community Thanksgiving dinner provides turkey and all the fixings for a free community meal. The dinner is now in its 10th year and all members of the community are invited to stop in, celebrate and gobble up a traditional meal on the night before the national holiday.

The 10th annual event also includes free standard flu shots from the Christian Medical and Dental Association of the University of Nevada School of Medicine beginning at 4 p.m. Also, bring down the whole family for free family photos along with free youth fingerprinting and I.D. kits and a special letter-writing station for those who may be unable to spend time with family this holiday season.

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill are excited to embark on the Ninth Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Club’s Donald W. Reynolds Facility on East Ninth Street in Reno. All members of the community are invited to enjoy the feast and festivities this Thanksgiving Eve including a free family photograph station and free flu shots, thanks to the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM).

“Bully’s is very proud to be able to participate in the free Community Dinner again this year,” said Jo Sonner, owner of Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill. “It gives us an opportunity to bring people together and give back to the community; which is a big part of the Bully’s culture and is really what the holidays are all about.”
