The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows will hold its annual Kickoff to Summer, Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Club’s Donald W. Reynolds Facility at 2680 E. 9th Street. This year’s pirate themed event features food, face-painting, bounce houses, art projects, and more.
The Club will also offer FREE memberships during the event, with parent orientations in English and Spanish. Orientations are required for new and renewing members.
Come check out our new dance studio at the 9th Street club and get fit with the family! The Boys & Girls Club will be offering a six-week class starting April 25 that offers a combo dance/exercise experience for families. The class will run every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. and the price is FREE, nada, nothing.

Hundreds of kids had a blast on Tuesday at the Club during our Battle of the Brains Day – day two of Boys & Girls Club Week. Kids learned about what’s in their food, built robots, did art projects and even showed off their scientific experiments to teach others everything from how Volcanoes work to what brand of popcorn pops best. The highlight of Boys & Girls Club Week comes tonight when our gyms turn into a carnival, complete with games, bounce houses and slides, great food, prizes and more. Hundreds of adult volunteers will be paired with kids, who will take them around the carnival booths, collecting the much-coveted tickets. The Club kicked of Boys & Girls Club Week with “Art EXPLOSION Night” on Monday. Kids did mural painting, dancing, face-painting, and dress-up with a picture booth. The fun continues tonight with our “Battle of the Brains Day.” For the complete list of Boys & Girls Club Week events, click HERE.
