Day for Kids on Sept. 17

Sponsorships are available for the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows 10^th annual Day for Kids, presented by Cashman Equipment, on Sept. 17, an event that draws hundreds of families to the Sparks Marina for a BBQ lunch, games, bounce houses, face painting, ice cream and vendors offering information about community services – all at no charge to the public.

For a decade, the Club has offered this event as a way to underscore the importance of parents and children spending quality time together with an emphasis on having fun. In 2010 the event drew more than 1,000 attendees – volunteers handed out more than 1,500 ice cream cones – and the Club is hoping to break the record this year.

It is through the help of sponsors the Boys & Girls Club is able to keep this event free. So far this year Day for Kids is sponsored by great companies like Cashman Equipment (presenting sponsor), ComputerLand, Western Nevada Supply, Soil-Tech and others.

In addition to supporting a growing, positive northern Nevada community event, sponsors have access to marketing opportunities during the event promotion and production.

The Club is also putting out the call for vendors. Space is available for businesses and non-profits. Companies that serve families – in every industry from doctors’ clinics to housing assistance – are invited to participate. Space is limited, so vendors are encouraged to secure their spots early.
