Macy’s “Thanks for Sharing” program has donated more than $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows for educational programming at the Club’s 19 sites throughout the region. On Tuesday, a group of Club members stopped by our local Macy’s store to say thank you. Members presented a framed photo and got to meet Macy’s execs and say thank you in person.
Thanks for Sharing debuted as a national Macy’s initiative in 2003 – a distinctive effort from which customers benefit during the holiday season and charities benefit throughout the year. Customers join the program for $25, and in return, they receive a Reward Card valued at 10 percent of all their Macy’s credit card net purchases made during the holiday period. Plus, for each Thanks for Sharing customer enrollment, Macy’s donates $10 to charity.
