Microsoft steps up for the Club

 In Blog, Events

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrated our partnership with Reno-based Microsoft Licensing on Monday, with a check-passing ceremony at Microsoft headquarters.

The $27,500, raised during a Microsoft-sponsored charity golf tournament at Wolf Run golf course Aug. 26, will be put to good use, aiding in programming for the nearly 9,000 Club kids served each year in the Truckee Meadows. A group of Club kids were on hand to sing during the event, a chance for us to put faces to the fundraiser and entertain the crowd.

For years, the Microsoft corporation has been a benefactor of the Boys & Girls Club of America, supporting the movement with everything from funding to technology. We are happy to see this local partnership materialize so successfully, and we expect it to grow in the years to come.

Thanks again Microsoft Licensing for your generosity, and everyone who participated and donated to our tournament. TOURNAMENT PHOTOS:
